Sizzling Steak - Ho Lin Wah Restaurant

Sizzling Steak should be a special kind of Hong Kong-style food. When I was young, in Hong Kong, I liked CafĂ© and Maxim’s Sizzling Steak. In the past, the set menu at Brisbane Hong Kong Style Restaurant was only about $10, while the Sizzling Steak was $15, 50% more. But, now is the era of high inflation, the set meal is already about $14 for me, and the iron plate steak says about $17 for me, just pay a few dollars more and eat the original Steak! So, I went to Ho Lin Wah Restaurant a few days ago to eat this kind of Steak. The texture of the Steak is tender and juicy. That is not small too.Especially in winter, it is very warm to eat when that is served on the hot iron plate.

Redcliffe

Redcliffe is one of my favorite getaway places. I visit there every two to three months. There are not many people, is not as busy as Gold Coast. I love there to watch the Ocean, although that is a bit windy. Moreover, I cannot go in these recent weeks because we had a polar snap.

I had betty’s burgers years ago.

It was the shop that opened in Surfers Paradise back then, and in my memory, it had the reputation of being the most delicious hamburger of that year on Gold Coast. So in my impression, their burgers are delicious.

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to have dinner at the surface paradise branch again.

CRISPY CHICKEN SUPREME

I ordered their CRISPY CHICKEN SUPREME and fries ($5) on the same day for about $20, so it’s a mid-priced burger. The chicken was crispy, the meat quality was good, and the bread was soft. As for the fries, they were normally crispy. Fries are hard to go wrong.

There is a special offer on the day, if you order a hamburger and a side dish, you can have a free children’s meal. And the portion is also the same as the adult meal, and there are still fries.

Also, they have a Mobile App, and there are some discounts from time to time. You can order the food and just select the pick-up Location in the mobile app as the branch where you are in. Then you need to inform the staff to order food in the mobile app. In the end, the staff k will bring it to the table where you sit.

Hot Cross Bun Easter Sundaes,

Hot Cross Bun Easter Sundaes ($2)

Since it is Easter, there is festive food, Hot Cross Bun Easter Sundaes, only $2, not bad.

In conclusion, it tastes good. Although it doesn’t seem to be as good as in my memory, maybe memories will always be beautified. In addition, the staff has a very good attitude and is very active in helping customers.

I went to Kokoro Japanese Kitchen at Pinelands Plaza recently. Before a friend recommended this store, he said that the food in the restaurant was good, the taste was not bad, and the price was very affordable.
So, order their lunch special, Chicken Nanban rice bowl ($11.80).

three pieces of tofu($1)

three pieces of tofu($1)

The chicken was deep-fried, and it was even more fragrant with the tar tar sauce. It’s really worthy of being the restaurant’s signature dish, and $11.80 is a little cheap, and the portion size is okay. Plus a bowl of miso soup. It makes me feel almost full.

In addition, there are also three pieces of tofu you can use for $1; although it is not too special, it can make you feel more full.

sashimi rice -$15.80

sashimi rice -$15.80

Besides, you can also order their sashimi rice for only $15.80. Japanese restaurants are all about $20 to have sashimi rice. They were quite a lot, several slices of salmon and several slices of other fish sashimi.
To sum up, the tasty is good, and the price is more affordable.

Chanoyu Japanese infused cafe

Because we have an annual pass for Sea World, we go to South port, which is close to Sea World a lot. Recently, we went there again, but that was a Sunday. Many restaurants in this area, especially Japanese restaurants, are closed on Sundays. So a friend introduced a Japanese-style coffee shop that would be open on Sundays to us, and I checked their Facebook page. It turns out that many friends have also visited it so that it will be famous, so I went there to try it.
The store is located in a small shopping street, just on the side of a park, so it can be said to be a low profile shop. In fact, the store is not low key at all. It is well known in the Asian circle of Gold Coast, and I saw some people buying takeaway coffee, we arrived around noon, and many people were already sitting for lunch.

As for the food, I just thought of omelet rice, which looks well, tastes good, the eggs are slippery, and the rice is fried well, which is very attractive. As for the wife, she just ordered wagyu soup and rice, and the appearance is beautiful.

As for the drinks, the most popular is matcha tea, and mine is the matcha espresso. Of course, it is very fragrant, and the appearance is first-class.

There are also children’s meals, such as sushi and french fries. Although it should be nothing special, it looks quite good, and my kid really likes it.

There is one more option in my list of restaurants in South port, and if you want to have a drink and a meal, the laundry fee is about 20 dollars per person.

My car has been used for more than ten years, and I use it every day, so that is the time to consider getting a replacement. A new car is always more reliable and safe. Now, Electric Cars are starting to have more options. In addition, the Queensland government will start to provide a 3,000 subsidy for Electric Cars priced below $58,000 in July. I’ve thought about switching to Electric Cars again.
As far as I’m concerned, changing Electric Cars is just a matter of economics. The cheapest trams cost 40,000 dollars to nearly 50,000 dollars, which is more than 10,000 dollars more expensive than the average Japanese car. Even if my solar panel can provide enough electricity for the vehicle, the 10,000 dollars may not be more than the fuel used during the life span of a car. And the government subsidy is only 3,000 dollars, and it must be on the car priced below$ 58,000, and there are not many choices. Generally, the better electric car costs nearly $60,000, and there is no subsidy.
Furthermore, although the tram does not have a gearbox and an internal combustion engine, the structure is relatively simple, and maintenance will be relatively cheap. But it is always a real car, shock absorbers, wheels. These consumables still need to be replaced regularly. So there will be savings in maintenance, but not much.
In addition, the general electric car is heavier than the gasoline car, so it should be more energy-intensive.
Summarizing these economic considerations, I will switch to a general gasoline car.

Before, it was mentioned that buying takeaways in Yuanbao as Chinese New Year’s meal. So I ordered takeout there during the Chinese new year. Of course, it was a big festival, so I ordered takeout first in the afternoon and prepared it at the convenience food store. I especially chose a steamed Barramundi!

First of all, this steamed Barramundi, this steamed fish is the main feature of this meal, I really can’t do it myself.
The meat is tender and smooth, and the standard in Hong Kong restaurants is similar. It turns out that the style of Taiwanese steamed fish and Cantonese steamed fish is the same.

The second dish is the Sauteed Chicken with Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce, and Rice Wine. This dish has a very fragrant Melaleuca taste. The wine taste is not heavy, but it still has the aroma of a wine.

This New Year’s meal is satisfying, with fish and meat.

Automatic recycling machines

In the past one or two years, our Queensland also promoted the beverage can recycling program. As a result, each beverage container can be returned to the designated location to get 10 cents, and it can be fully automatic. However, this kind of automatic recycling point is not many before.
But today, I went to the garden city and found that there are several automatic recycling machines. You can directly put plastic bottles into that machine, which deposit the recycled money into your container for changes account, or you can generateWoolworths shopping vouchers with the same amount to be recycled. Garden City is our main shopping mall, and these automatic recycling machines are located on the side of the parking lot of Officeworks. There are plenty of parking spaces, that is so easy to parking.

Lindt Iced Mocha

When I go to Harbour Town, I must go to the Lindt Chocolate Specialty Store. Of course, I don’t buy chocolate, I like the mocha there. I find it more appealing than the chocolate there, especially on a hot day. Order a cup of iced mocha, which has fragrant coffee, and Lindt chocolate-flavored ice cream balls, which is smooth and relaxing

When the weather is better, that is an excellent chance to go out. Before, there was a new wave of epidemic peaks and flooding in Brisbane, so I didn’t go to places far away for several weeks. Therefore, I went to Longan Garden on Sunday a few weeks before. There are longan farms around the Sunshine Coast and Gold coast, and we went to the Narangba Longan Garden on the North Lakes side, which is about a 45-minute drive from the city center. Generally speaking, the longan harvest season is from March to April, so this longan garden is open to the public, but not every week. So everyone should keep an eye on their Facebook.

We just happened to have a longan harvest and saw that their Facebook said it was open to the public. We accommodate a time to go as soon as possible because all the longan can be plucked within a week or two, and it will have to wait until the next season.
Under normal circumstances, there is an admission fee of one dollar per adult. Fortunately, since the longan was picked for the public a few weeks ago, there are not many longans left, so the garden has waived the admission fee.

Since it was already more than 11 o’clock when we arrived, it had been more than two hours since the park opened, and most of the eyes had been removed. This is because we finally saw the longan in the corner of the garden. It turns out that longan hangs on the tree like this, and it turns out that the longan tree is only about the height of an adult. So it’s easy to pick up. Some longan trees are relatively short. Even children can pick it, so children like it. For the adult, you can slowly choose the good ones. As a result, I picked 1.5 kilograms, so I only need to pay ten dollars per kilogram. Although the price is similar to the market, it is more umami than the ones outside. I bought 1.5 kilograms, and only three of them were bad.

In addition, there are more dragon fruit trees in the park, which can be picked. It is also the first time that I have seen dragon fruit trees. It turned out to be like this. However, we arrived too late, all the dragon fruit had been picked, but some dragon fruit was for sale at the door.

Also, I would like to remind everyone. It’s is a farm. Therefore, there will be a lot of mosquitoes. Everyone should remember to have anti mosquitoes spray. And Brisbane is still hot in March and April, so use sun oil and a hat, and add a lot of water. Pay attention to having a lot of water. AFor s for tools, a pair of scissors is good enough. The farm can lend it to visitors for a deposit of ten dollars. Finally, the day after we left, all the longan have been smashed and should be harvested in the next season. But it was delicious so we will definitely go back next year.
