I found during these recent years, Brisbane has more tool roads, such as Go-Between Bridge and Airport link, clem7 and a new gateway bridge. This month, there will be a new one joins the network, Legacy Way. This toll is a 4.6-kilometre tunnel which links the Western Freeway (Toowong) to Kelvin Grove. The construction are completed, and today opened to Brisbane people walk though! However, I got another work to do, I cannot be this events. I only can enjoy to watch the photo taken by my friends went to this event in Facebook!

Jogging

One of reasons I love Brisbane is for jogging. Brisbane is a very good place for Jogging. There are a lot of parks which is a lovely place to jog, such as Calamvale District Park..wpid-p_20150525_094701.jpg

Especially, now is in winter, some of trees turned red, they are very beautiful.

Secondly, Brisbane has plenty of fresh air! I love it!

I almost go out for jogging every day!

H&M@Garden City

H&M@Garden City
Yesterday, there was the grand opening of H&M new branch at Garden City. This is the 2nd branch of this fashion grant, H&M, in Queensland.
Today, I and my wife went to there for shopping. There were too many people. We had to line up a queue to enter the store. The waiting time wasn’t very long, only for a few minutes. We found the store is quite large, the store has two stories, including male ,female and kids fashion departments, fashion accessories and sportwear. Also, there are some grand opening offers, , such as $2.95 for a shirt! Most of goods are only around $20 to $30. Those prices are quite reasonable, which are similar with H&M in Hong Kong. I think those are the reasons to attract the crowds today!

wpid-p_20150314_105637.jpgRecently, I found a good spot for bushwalking. That is in Daisy Hill,Daisy Hill Conservation Park. There are a lot of tracks which are good for bushwalking,  That is very easy to walk, there are not many slopes required to walk.

The most of tracks have trees to be covered. You need to be too worry about the sunburns.Of course, the sunscreens are required.

I have spent about two hours walk in there, that was enjoyable. Note that, the tracks are shared by cycle and horse riders.

In addition, this park is not far at all, about 15 minutes driving springwood and plenty of parking spots. This park is the hills road in Daisy Hills, which is around exit 24 of pacific highway, you can follow the signs when you are off from Pacific Highway.

P1120848Last Saturday is the ANZAC day, also, that is the centenary Gallipoli war.

That is a special meaning to watch the ANZAC Parade. So, I went to Brisbane City for this.

P1120844

At the start of parade, there was a Marching Brand and the ex-service men and women in the team.

Of course, that was ANZAC, the army marching squad was the most important part of this parade.

P1120868

P1120851

There were not just army personnel, the army vehicles were joined too!

P1120891There were some armorer vehicles and army trucks took part.

There were only for those modern vehicles, a number of restored World War I army vehicles were in the parade too!

P1130019

Also,  I saw a team were dressed World War I Australian army uniform to pay tribute those soldiers scarified.

This parade gave me a short lesson about Australian War history!

ANZAC Day Parade 2015

ANZAC Ex-Service People
Tomorrow is ANZAC Day which is a national day of remembrance in all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. Also, the day is to honor Australian and New Zealanders soldiers took part in the operations at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915.

Tomorrow, a ANZAC parade will be held in Brisbane City. The Australia defence force and ex-service men and women will be a part of the parade. Moreover, this year is the 100th year of ANZAC. This parade will be very meaningful.

Woody Point@Recliffe

We like to go to Redcliffe if there is a long weekend.
In redcliffe, there is a tourist attraction, woody point. I like there a lot, because that is a very nice jetty. You can go fishing and watch the beautiful ocean scene. Moreover, some nice coffee shops are around!
That is a nice place to visit.

Chicken Caesar Warp@Hog's Breath

Hog’s Breath Cafe is a steakhouse I and my wife like. Sometimes, we go to have a streak for dinner.
Actually, there were some good value lunch deals too. A few weeks ago, I have a chicken caesar  wrap with chips, they only are for $9.90. As a restaurant, the price is a good deal. If you have a chicken curry in a food court takeaway store, that will be a similar price.
I think you are considering to go out, that is worth to checkout their lunch set menu.

Salmon Sushi
Sushi Train has a branches across Brisbane, but not every one suits for my taste buds. I like the one in Warrigal Square particularly.
Usually, there are a lot of customers. Thus, the sushi won’t stay in tail too long. They are quite fresh most of times. Moreover, sushi chief made the sushi quite beautiful. For example, this salmon and fish eggs sushi looks cool.

So, this sushi restaurant is in my list of sushi place I prefer to go.

B-717 – Row 22

wpid-p_20150410_194352.jpg
Yesterday, I went to a business trip from Brisbane to Canberra. We travelled by a Qantas B717 which is a small jet.
We checked-in very late, so we got the second last row (Row 22)in the plane. Although I got a window seat(22A), but that was next to the engine, I had no views at all. In addition, that was at the back, we were almost the last one to have dinner, all hot food were gone, I only cloud get a box of salad. That is bad.

If you travel by B717, please check-in earlier and do not choose Row 22.
