Inland beach@Southbank
I don’t think Brisbane River is a good place to swim. You still can swim “near” Brisbane Swim. We have an artificial inland beach in Southbank. You can swim next to Brisbane River. Moreover, that is not a swimming pool. That is a beach with real sand! This is very cool!
I tried the new hair salon,F10 Quick Cut, in Sunnybank Plaza this Monday. They only provide haircut. They are similar with QB House in Hong Kong. Firstly, there is a vendor machine. You put a $10 note into this machine, and then you get a ticket. Then sit and wait, when there is a hair dresser available, you give the ticket to him. The 10 minutes hair cutting journey starts. That is very similar with QB House way. But in Hong Kong, we can use our Octopus card to pay the fee. Well, they are similar, but they are not as good as QB House. I like my cut in QB House more. This is Australia, I cannot ask for too much. F10 Quick Cut can deliver what they say, that is $10 haircut. I think that is reasonable. That is completed around 10 minutes. Now, my hair is cut shorter. That is what I want.

Early of this year, we had Cyclone Yasi hit Northern Queensland. It destroyed a lot of banana. As a result, Australia has experienced banana shortage. I saw there was around $15 per kg in supermarket. Recently, the price becomes more reasonable. Last week, I bought some banana for around $3 per kg. Today, the price is lower! I saw 99 cents per kg in Woolworth.
Yesterday, we went to Harbour Town Gold Coast. We found Polo Ralph Lauren outlet got 60%Off Storewide. That is a good deal.
For pure color polo t-shirt, that is only $35!
If you need somethings more stylish, there are some polo t-shirt with printed pattern. Those are $45. That is still a good deal.
If you go to there, you can check them out to see whether the deal are still in there. I think there will still be.
Angel @ Queen Street Mall
There is less than a month to Christmas. Our Brisbane City has prepared for that. They have put Christmas decoration in Queen Street Mall. There are some Angel Decorations at the street light.

At the Queen Street Mall, they placed that kind of Christmas Tree near the foot path.

At the entrance, there is a big decoration. I calls it as Christmas Door.
Christmas Tree @ St George Square
Moreover, in King George Square, there is a giant Christmas Tree. I think it has at least 2 stories height. That is great.

Story Bridge
The story bridge is the one of famous tourist attractions. “Story” Bridge? Any stories behind that. Actually, I don’t know there is any stories behind that. According to Wikipedia , the bridge is named for John Douglas Story. But there are somethings special. This bridge is a little brother of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Both are design by John Bradfield. Moreover, both are a huge steel structure! I like that, it looks cool! In addition, the river view in there is very pretty too!
Pancakes At The Manor
Pancakes At The Manor has been opened in Garden City for about two to three months, because I had to travel oversea last month. That is very busy. I had no spare time to try this restaurant at all. Moreover, their dinner set is very expensive, that is more than twenty dollars! Thus, I am not very keen to go there.
But last week, I found there is a special lunch set. That is only $13 and extra $1.5 for a coffee. That is more reasonable and attractive too! Thus, I decided to have a lunch in there.
In fact, Pancakes At The Manor there has other branches, I had lunch and dinner in their City branch several times. However, Garden City branch is more comfortable than their City Branch. The seats in there is more spacey too! For the atmosphere only, I choose to Garden City Branch.
Chicken and Mushroom Crepe
For the food, I ordered chicken and mushroom crepe lunch set. That is similar with the one I had in City branch, but Therefore, the crepe of City branch is better.
Hot Cakes with Icecream
My package also includes a dessert, hotcakes with ice cream. Some freezing ice cream are added on top of very warm hot cakes. That is very tasty. The taste is a mixture of cold and warm, very interesting….. That seems to much better than the City branch.
This lunch is really tasty. I was very full too!

The concept of 10 Minutes Hair Cut comes from Japan. This targets the customers who do not want a fantasy hair style, just want a nice and clean hair cut. I tired this kind of hair salon in Hong Kong. I like it. I just want a quick hair cut.
Today, I found there is this kind of hair salon in Sunnybank Plaza. This opens at the opposite side of Post Office. I will try it later. Well, I wish to try it today, but my hair is still short. I will see whether that is as good as the one in Hong Kong.
Ikea Chicken & Chips
I like to go to IKEA Dinner on Friday, because there is $2 Fish & Chips on every Friday. But last Friday, I went to there again. I found this special is gone! Well, IKEA always has good deals on Friday dinner. There is a new offer. Chicken & Chips is for $4.50. There is two chicken breast fillets. If you are a member of IKEA Family, we will get a free coffee! That is still a very good deal, I will go to there for dinner again!

Brisbane River
I think most cities built around water, either it is an ocean or a river. Our Brisbane City is around a river. The photo shows above is our Brisbane river. Though it doesn’t smell very nice. Queen Eiizabeth just paid a visit and the scene is great. At the city side around the river, there are some beautiful high-rise buildings.
